MISSION & PURPOSE 

 

Our Mission - King at the Plate Ltd is a registered 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that helps Student-Athletes reach the next level of competition by providing resources and opportunities to help them achieve their personal best.

Our Philosophy - Student-Athletes often face difficult physical and mental demands. Our goal is to educate and inspire athletes on their journey toward greatness in competition, overall wellness, and foster the characteristics and skills that will enable them to overcome these many challenges.

 

Our Vision - Participants are those who commit themselves to the "Be the Best You Each Day" values and practices. We provide our Student-Athletes the ability to excel athletically while maintaining focus on their education, thereby improving their overall quality of life.

"Be The Best You" Rich Ebarb Memorial Scholarship - We are honored to support the College of Southern Nevada's first ever Student-Athlete Endowment Scholarship established in loving memory of Coach Rich Ebarb. We worked with the CSN Foundation and CSN's Head Baseball Coach Nick Garritano to establish recipient criteria to identify Student-Athletes who embody what it means to "Be The Best You":

 

• Returning 2nd year, local CSN Baseball Athlete

• Essay submission on how to “Be the Best You” each day

• Academic GPA minimum required

• Athletic performance based on approved scoring rubric meeting NJCAA standards

• Recipient will be assigned Coach Ebarb’s jersey #9

Our goal is to continue growing the fund to provide additional full-year scholarships to other Student-Athletes.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM APPLICATION

 

KATP Player Scholarship Program - Participants in our KATP Player Scholarship Program are student-athletes who have proven their motivation and track record both on the field and in the classroom.  Unfortunately, due to financial restraints on their family, these players are unable to participate in events that offer opportunities for exposure and to obtain college scholarships. The KATP Player Scholarship Program was developed to help these players with costs towards uniforms, equipment, entry fees and travel.
